We have a challenging opportunity for an Finance Analyst based out of our New York office located in the heart of the diamond district.

Job Summary: The Finance Analyst is responsible for is responsible for assisting in various financial activities including data gathering, trending, modeling, forecasting, planning, and reporting for Financial Planning and Analysis. The position functions in a fast paced dynamic environment and will serve as a critical direct link to the division’s customer base. The incumbent will also be responsible for complying with the Company’s Credit and Collections policies and procedures and executes goals to maximize cash flow and sales while minimizing bad debt losses.

• Lead billing monthly.
• Prepare monthly volume reports.
• Perform monthly trend and variance analysis.
• Assist internal and external auditors and provide required documentation.
• Support finance team in completing ad’hoc request or analysis.
• Receives and applies payment to customer accounts in an accurate and timely manner.
• Prepares credits/billings per established guidelines and keys them to customer's account in an accurate and timely manner.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years experience working with billing functions of varying degrees
• Intermediate level proficiency in Excel, Word and other MS Office product
• Must be 21 years of age at time of hire:

Preferred Qualifications
(Include other skills that would be helpful but are not a requirement of the position) Preferred Qualifications:
• 3 years experience with PeopleSoft Financials
• 3 years experience in freight forwarding or logistics collections or customer service role related to collections/billing
• Associates Degree (Business or Accounting) or the equivalent work experience in Finance or Accounting
