Job Summary:  
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for the performance of day to day monitoring of Accounts Payable transactions related to appropriate transaction approvals so the disbursements are accurate, timely and in accordance with company’s established policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Open, scan and distribute incoming Accounts Payable invoices/mail.  Contact vendors and recommend electronic emailing of invoices to reduce paper mail
• Ensure all Accounts Payable transactions are correctly approved by approves with appropriate approval
• Monitor over the limit Queue in ePMO on a daily basis to ensure all transactions are approved timely and accurately prior to payment
• Research and resolve internal and external payment related
• Complete responsibility for distributing/mailing weekly/daily paper checks.  Ensure all special handling is performed timely and accurately
• Coordinate the ACH set up with vendors and US Bank
• Assist manager with UAT, systems testing, audit
• Perform other duties as required, necessary or assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
• Minimum of 3 years experience processing in Accounts Payable
• Knowledge of MS Office suite
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with a large volume ERP such as PeopleSoft or Oracle Financial System
• Experience with imaging and workflow systems
Professional Skills:
• Excellent interpersonal/communication skills
• Good organization skills
• Detail oriented with focus on accuracy
• Self-motivated and able to work without direct managerial supervision
