To that end we have a challenging opportunity for a Talen Acquisition Specialist to be based at our 580 Fifth Avenue location.  

Job Summary:
The Talent Acquisition Specialist reporting to the Regional Human Resources Manager is responsible for managing the recruitment and on-boarding processes and procedures across BGS – US.  To be successful in this role, you should be able to develop long-term strategies and foster trusting relationships with potential hires.

Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinates with hiring manager(s) to determine best recruiting process for position(s).
• Determine selection criteria
• Source potential candidates through online channels (e.g. social platforms and professional networks)
• Screens and interviews applicants
• Extends verbal and written contingent job offers
• Tracks status of candidates in HRIS and schedules all aspects of the on-boarding process (e.g. background checks, new-hire drug testing and employment verifications)
• Forecast quarterly and annual hiring needs by department
• Create monthly reports on key talent acquisition metrics
• Build long-term relationships with past and potential candidates
• Manage respective candidate pools to ensure qualified candidates remain engaged in current or future opportunities
• Generate monthly updates for company’s leadership about upcoming talent acquisition initiatives
• Communicate regularly with HR department to get a clear view of company’s hiring needs and organizational goals
• Maintains employee referral program
• Prepares new-employee files
• Perform other duties as assigned or necessary.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
• Minimum of two (3) years talent acquisition/recruiting experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including but not limited to Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Must be minimum of twenty one (21) years of age
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in human resources and/or related field
• Strong business acumen and the ability to influence and develop strong working relationships within a global organization.
• Knowledge of logistical operations, products, services, policies, and procedures, in addition to a familiarity with the customers and the industries serviced
