We have a challenging opportunity for a AR Analyst based out of our New York office located in the heart of the diamond district.

Job Summary:  The AR Analyst is responsible for analyzing overdue payments, outstanding balances and customer information.  Provide customers with accurate billing information and resolve errors.  As part of the finance team, the AR Analyst will have to familiarize with the business and become an expert with the systems and rates used on a daily basis while looking at opportunities to streamline the process.

Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and reconcile all over age accounts
• Organize internal and external customer accounts and identify all collection issues; assist with appropriate resolution
• Prepare and analyze all financial reports and develop models for key indicators
• Maintain and prepare reports for ledge accounts and analyze variance according to Account Receivable policies.
• Monitor and collect date from various customer locations and analyze credit exposure.
• Ensuring rules are set up correctly in the BITS and Atlas systems by the SCC team
• Help the finance team to close by BD3 including accrual on non-quarterly month close and by BD2 on quarter-end month close
• Identify valid transactions absent from the BITS NY system
• Ensure complaints and issues are resolved timely and appropriately
• Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the Accounts Receivable Department
• Must communicate & follow up effectively with sales dept. regarding customer contract rates on a timely basis
• Participate in team planning meetings and achieve as defined all department goals
• Assist in special projects as needed

• High level proficiency in Excel, Word and other MS Office product
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the finance field, full time or internships

• Detail oriented, strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
• Sense of urgency and ability to multi-task
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or accounting
