We have a challenging opportunity for FT AP Supervisor to work in the BGS US office in NYC.

The AP Supervisor, reporting to the Controller is responsible for all of the day to day accounting & payables and is responsible for financial statement preparation, monthly close duties, balance sheet and P&L analysis, account reconciliations, audit support and other projects as assigned. This position functions in a secured environment and requires a superior level of integrity, discretion and support driven initiative.
  
Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and enter batches of invoices in the accounting system for major vendors.
• Provide all monthly cost accruals to be captured and raised, variance between accrual estimates and actual should be within 5%.
• Perform proper reconciliations of vendor statements, fuel cards, company credit card, etc. and research discrepancies where necessary.
• Review and process all CH invoices received, and prepare reports for analysis revenue vs cost.
• Review and process all BTC invoices received, and prepare reports for analysis revenue vs cost.
• Analyze General Ledger accounts, reports, financial statements and assist in month-end close work.
• Assist in compliance with internal control requirements.
• Prepare process documentation and perform testing of controls.  
• Assist with the implementation of a new financial systems or processes.
• Assist with both internal and external audit.
• Prepare monthly various internal financial reports for presentation to Finance leadership.
• Prepare/Assist in completing account reconciliations on a monthly basis by deadline.
• Perform all projects and other assigned duties as necessary at the direction of the Controller, Director of Finance and VP of US Operations.
• Personnel development; staff meetings.

Job Requirements



Minimum Qualifications:
• Two (2) years of experience in the accounting field.  
• Intermediate proficiency in Excel, Word and other Office products as well as other proprietary and commercial financial management IT systems and business objects (PeopleSoft, Oracle, or SAP)
• Be at least 21 years of age  

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelors of Science Degree in Finance or Accounting
• CPA certified or Master’s degree in accounting a plus.
• PeopleSoft 9.0 or similar accounting system.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated knowledgeable of the accepted accounting principles (FASB & GAAP).
