KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Serves as the liaison between the system users and the development team to help design and develop applications.
• Facilitates and documents the interactive system requirement sessions to capture business rules, workflow, project goals, and project benefits.
• Confers with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems and learn specific input and output requirements
• Writes detailed description of user needs and program functions.
• Prepares workflow charts and diagrams to specify in detail operations to be performed by equipment and computer programs and operations to be performed by personnel in system.
• Plans and prepares technical reports and memoranda as documentation of program development.
• Provides assistance as required to organizations outside of the company (vendors, customers) to develop/improve automation that crosses company boundaries.
• Maintains an effective user-support relationship.
• Performs black box, integration and regression testing of the additional module / applications developed on an ongoing basis
• Performs training sessions to users as required

Level 1 Support
• Develops expertise on the current applications that are in use and provides first level of support for issues faced by the users
• Actively gains application configuration knowledge and configures applications to meet business needs

Reporting & Documentation
• Prepares application release notes, monthly progress reports
• Prepares elegant ‘how to’ documents on new features
• Assists with development of user guides
• Performs other duties as assigned or required

Job Requirements



MINIMUM QUALFICATIONS:
• Minimum of 4 years experience Microsoft office suite (Visio, Word, Project, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Business Administration or combination of bachelor’s degree
• Minimum 4 years experience as a business analyst
• Able to travel up to 25%

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Facilitation of application design sessions.
• Previous experience in areas of process improvement.
• Works independently with limited supervision, coordinating projects to closure.
• Customer service and/or product support
• Writes test plans for system and user acceptance testing.
• Project Management skills
• Experience working with Client/Server and Web applications
• Knowledge of SQL
• Prior experience as business analyst in a logistics company
