We have a challenging opportunity for a Command Center Supervisor based out of our Springfield Gardens, NY location.

Job Summary:  
The Command Center Supervisor is responsible for preparing employee routing in conjunction with schedules and customer needs as well as dispatching, monitoring and recording necessary data on a daily/weekly and monthly basis in accordance with customer requirements.  This position will work very closely with our 580 Ops group, customers and all internal support departments including Sales, Customer Service and Finance to ensure that all customer needs are met to BGS’ high standards of achievement.  This position functions in an armed environment.  This position requires the enforcement of rules to protect the premises and property of Brink's and its customers and in armored vehicles in transit, as well as the safety of persons on the premises of Brink's and its customers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee, transmit and receive information over radio and telephone to detect emergencies, exchange information or provide dispatch services.
• In partnership with the Management team ensures adequate staffing and resources are available to meet business needs so that all Operations conform to regulations, policies and procedures set for by Brinks, the airlines, state and federal agencies.   
• Coordinate and dispatch special routes and additional assignments of new accounts to established runs.
• Identify problems or potential problem areas and recommend solutions.
• Direct, regulate and prioritize the movement of traffic in parking lot, loading ramps and receiving docks. Allocate parking as required for service and delivery vehicles; maintain access to driveways and dock areas and facilitate the timely removal of vehicles as appropriate.
• Helps with the hiring process, schedules, and trains and develops staff. Manages performance, discipline and motivation of staff to achieve business objectives
• Plans delivery by organizing truck loads and routing schedules.
• Coordinates delivery and pickup with the customer and sales department.
• Oversees the loading of shipments onto trailers or trucks.
• Oversees the preparation of delivery documents for truckers.
• Communicate effectively and clearly and possess strong business acumen skills related to the logistics of transporting valuable shipments.
• Develops and enforces Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for all operational activities both domestic and international to include safety, security and front line day to day operational procedures
• Maintain appropriate records, including but not limited to guide sheets, employee attendance, and accident reports in partnership with the Operations and Executive Operations Management team.
• Manage all paperwork, internal administrative processes and all related processes/policies endemic to the shipping/logistics process in accordance with Brinks policy and all general security guidelines.
• Work closely with all vault operations as necessary and manage the fulfillment of customer special requests as necessary and communicate the same to all needed partners.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in dispatch, routing, transportation/logistics and/or be able to demonstrate success in previously held positions such as but not limited to armed Messenger/Air Courier Messenger in a similar environment.
• Minimum of 3 years working with Microsoft Office and logistics software including but not limited to BITS, ATLAS, GARCIA.
• A valid firearms permit or ability to pass applicable firearms licensing requirements.
• A valid guard card or ability to obtain a guard card or any other required licenses
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs on a regular and consistent basis.
• Ability to pass all necessary background and pre- employment testing/licensing requirements.
• Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Office and PowerPoint.
• Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Office and PowerPoint.
• Must have excellent communication skills
• Must possess the ability to conduct training sessions as necessary
• Must be flexible with scheduled hours
