We have a challenging opportunity for a Customer Service Rep I to work at offices located at 580 Fifth Avenue Office.


Job Summary:  
The Customer Service Representative will work primarily in support of the Diamond and Jewelry Brinks Connect / Low Value Parcel shipping operation international and domestic customers. The Customer Service Representative is responsible for building and maintaining a professional relationship with internal and external customers. The qualified candidate will be responsible for receiving and processing shipments from major customers, affiliates relating to LVP shipments and will be responsible for effectively communicating this information/coordinating delivery with Brink’s Incorporated, and domestic operations.


Key Responsibilities:

Respond to incoming communications from internal and external customers and where necessary resolve and escalate issues as needed including the providing of product line data and the quoting of prices for all services.

Communicate, and coordinate all transportation arrangements for customer moves including routing, delivery, booking, and other transportation logistics.


Respond to inquiries regarding status of shipments in transit; follow through on trace request as necessary; provide proof of delivery as requested.

Work closely with the Customers Service team and Sales department in the management of the operations roadmap related to LVP process.  

Coordinates with affiliates, Finance, Sales and Operations all corresponding rates/pricing and monitors rate system to ensure that all customer information is up to date and accurate.

Improve the Customer friendliness and ease of use of Customer Facing Solutions. In particular, make the split between a Service Request and a Service Order seamless to customers.

Handle additional administrative responsibilities, reports and/or projects that involve Customer Support at management discretion.

Stay up-to-date on all freight price changes  

Research customer claims ensuring the highest level of customer service on every call and ensure that all service complaints are handled diplomatically, channeling pertinent information to customer service manager.

Ensure all transportation arrangements are made with full consideration of security implications, according to the BGS Procedures and within the General security regulations (GSR).

Build further relationships with current customers and oversee any new projects to increase our customer service levels to our current/new customers.

Oversee all customer reporting processes including daily reports that need to be sent to each customer as well as monthly/quarterly inventory statements.

Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements



Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in Customer Service with a concentration in logistics & supply chain or related field or internal BGS experience of a similar nature.

Minimum of 3 year of experience using MS Office and Windows applications

Must be 21 years or older


Preferred Qualifications:

Excellent computer skills to include Microsoft Office applications

Demonstrated record of achievement as a self-starter and team-player

Excellent detail orientation and follow-up skills

Bachelor’s Degree

Excellent verbal and written communication skills  

Customer focused and able to multi task in a fast paced environment.
