To that end we have a challenging opportunity for an HR Coordinator.  The position will report to  both NY offices located at  Springfield Gardens, NY and 580 Fifth Avenue, NY.

Job Summary:
The HR Coordinator reporting to the Human Resources Manager is responsible for managing HR processes, procedures and working closely with the field leadership as well as the Talent Acquisition Specialist.  This position will advise location leadership in all administrative and back-end recruitment processes and procedures across BGS – US. Additionally, the HR Coordinator will work closely with the HR manager on compliance and support and provide solutions to employee concerns.

Key Responsibilities:
• Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
• Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all organization personnel.
• Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
• Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
• Support the Talent Acquisition Specialist with the on-boarding process for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students and temporary employees. Including but not limited to: scheduling physicals, HPE, drug testing and road test.
• Assists with processing of transactions in the HR System.
• Assists with the preparation of the performance review process.
• Assists or prepares correspondence as requested
• Assist with implementing new hire orientation and employee engagement programs.
• Prepares new-employee files and audits for existing files.
• Perform other duties as assigned or necessary.

Job Requirements



Minimum Qualifications:
• Minimum of two (2) years human resources experience with a focus on employee engagement and recruitment.
• Minimum of one (1) year working with an ATS and other recruiting sourcing tools
• Must be minimum of twenty one (21) years of age

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in human resources and/or related field
• Workday Experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including but not limited to Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
