Job Description



This position is responsible for assisting with a wide range of duties in the areas of direct and indirect tax compliance and accounting.  The Tax Intern will support the Direct Tax Team by preparing, analyzing and inputting data for income tax return preparation for US subsidiaries, preparing and analyzing data for US returns of foreign subsidiaries, and preparing less complex US income tax returns.  The Tax Intern will support the Indirect Tax Team by preparing, analyzing and inputting data for sales/use, property, unclaimed property, and other indirect tax returns, preparing and tracking sales tax exemption certificates for customers, reconciling general ledger accounts, preparing support for property and sales tax audits,  and conducting less complex compilations of state and local sales/use tax laws.

- US Income Tax Compliance – US and Foreign Subsidiaries
Preparing, analyzing and inputting data for income tax return preparation for US subsidiaries; preparation of (less complex) tax returns for US subsidiaries.  Preparation of (less complex) US tax returns related to the Company’s ownership of non-US subsidiaries to ensure timely and accurate reporting to the IRS.

- US Non-Income Tax Compliance – US
Preparing, analyzing and inputting data for sales/use, property, unclaimed property and other indirect tax returns.  Preparing and tracking sales tax exemption certificates for customers.  Reconciling general ledger accounts.  Preparing support for property and sales tax audits.  Prepare compilations of (less complex) sales/use tax laws

Job Requirements



- High School Diploma
- Enrolled in undergraduate program in business, finance, economics, or accounting
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of Software
- Basic understanding of financial and accounting principles
- Attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Prompt and reliable attendance to assigned tasks
