Primarily, the Communications Manager (US) will successfully lead the development and execution of the Brinks US Communications Strategy while coordinating with the ‘Corporate Communications' team who primarily handle Analysts and Investor relations.

The job holder’s key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
•Development and execution of the Brink’s communications strategy/social media plan and ownership of the internal ‘Brinks Proud’ App
•Coordination with the Brinks Marketing function to leverage our website in line with the US Communication Strategy
•Delivery of our key messages, themes, and collateral for trades shows and industry events
•Development and delivery of internal and external communications to help articulate to various audiences our long-term strategy
•Building a communication campaign around the development and launch of the 'Brinks Branch Operating System'
•Assisting company leadership to achieve business objectives through effective communications
•Coordinate in a timely manner, employee communication through a range of channels to ensure ease of access, clarity and consistency of message
•Develop an understanding and awareness of the internal communication needs within all functional and geographical areas of Brink’s
•Build trust and credibility as a strategic communications partner, providing executives with sound advice and effective internal communications planning
•Highlight and manage communications interdependencies, issues and risks
•Craft confidential leadership messages, develop strategies to convey them and coach executives in the delivery of them

Plan, Create and Distribute Content
•Develop, implement and maintain communications channels for employees; draft and/or edit Executive Steering Committee messages as required, providing context, clarity, consistency and appropriate tone, and create linkages to the company's strategic priorities
•Create, contribute to, edit, lay out and manage the quarterly publication of Brink’s Link to ensure overall consistency of corporate messages, providing an effective, relevant corporate communication
•Organize logistics and develop content for regular communications for all staff through a range of channels (including newspapers, books, briefs, etc.), ensuring ease of access to communications, clarity and consistency of messages
•Liaise with the web team to continually develop the Brink’s Intranet as an effective internal communications tool and to ensure it meets the needs of its audience
•Develop and manage calendars of key messages to ensure consistent, relevant and timely delivery of internal communication material and to avoid message conflicts; draft easy to understand briefing material
•Develop regular feedback channels to promote cross communication within Brink’s organizations and to ensure that messages are being delivered in a consistent and timely manner; monitor the results of the feedback to ensure continuous improvement in communications
•Work closely with Branding, Customer Communications and Legal to make sure internal and external messages are aligned, the impact on all audiences is considered and the company's reputation safeguarded

Employee Engagement
•Identify relevant communications and employee engagement opportunities and events, and evaluate their effectiveness; gather and act on meaningful employee feedback

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
• Minimum of 7 years of internal/external communications experience in complex organizations with geographically dispersed staff
• Minimum of 5 years of experience developing and implementing internal communications strategies and measuring their effectiveness
• Minimum of 3 years of experience of advising senior managers on complex internal communications challenges, including crisis communications
• Minimum of 3 years of experience of managing an intranet communications tool

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor Degree in either Journalism, Marketing, Advertising or Communications
• Experience successfully managing complex projects, involving multiple stakeholders, from start to finish
• Experience successfully influencing staff at all levels within an organization
• Experience working in a deadline-driven environment.
