We have a challenging opportunity for a Sales Manager within our Diamond & Jewelry department in NYC.  


Job Summary:   

The Sales Manager is responsible for increasing revenue for the Diamond & Jewelry line of business within the US. The scope of this position includes managing internal and external activities that are necessary to acquire, onboard and grow profitable revenue. This position will also be responsible for account maintenance and additional business development of existing customer relationships.  The incumbent will work a flexible work schedule and travel is required.

Key Responsibilities:

Execute business growth plans by conducting sales prospecting and meeting with potential customers to understand their specific needs and provide value-added service solutions

Identify potential new prospects in district and execute the successful onboarding and integration of the business

Demonstrate initiative and ability to manage one's business without daily supervision and coaching.

Able to maintain a documented 'pipeline' of sales activity and prospect for the D&J Account Executive team  

Participate in the budgeting and planning process by forecasting revenue, performing market analysis, and projecting impact of new and existing customer developments

Develop and execute strategic business plans for accounts, including assessing where other product lines can be utilized

Communicate market developments and trends that will assist in determining marketing strategy  

Oversee the daily activity of the Account Executives across BGS, US

Establish and maintain multi-level business relationships with executive and senior level management with respect to customer accounts.  

Resolve customer service and problem situations that are escalated  

Follow up on accounts receivable, “past due” situations  

Assist other departments as directed by Senior Management (ie: Trade Shows, Other Branches etc).  

Cross-train and perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements



Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum of seven (7) years  of business-to business service industry sales experience  

Minimum of seven (7) years of outside sales experience  

Minimum of three (3) years management experience  

Minimum of five (5) years’ experience meeting or exceeding business goals including revenue targets

Must be 21 years of age  


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in international sales of goods, freight forwarding.

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Business  

Experience in airside/ shipping operations is a plus.

Experience in import/ export operations and customs is a plus.
