We have a challenging opportunity for a Full Time - Vault Clerk B working at our JFK Airport location in our Commodities operation.

Job Summary:

The Vault Clerk B under the direction of the Commodities Customer Service Manager, will monitor, process and verify inbound and outbound shipments in the facility by physically sorting customers shipments, verifying inventory detail by comparing actual inventory to paperwork and otherwise ensuring precise control and record-keeping. As an armed employee, maintains discipline of protection of coworkers, inventory and the facility. This position functions in an armed environment and requires the enforcement of rules to protect the premises and property of Brink’s and its customers as well as the safety of persons on the premises of Brink’s and its customers, including armored vehicles.

Position Qualifications:
•Accept shipments of precious metals into storage from BGS or outside carrier at the facility.
• Deliver shipments of precious metals to BGS or outside carriers
• Perform audits on existing inventory
• Check in shipment from documents provided by shipper or generated by CSR/Vault Supervisor, match pre-advised inventory detail to physical inventory
• Complete necessary, audit compliant paperwork for incoming and outgoing shipments
• Prepare shipments of precious metal to be sent out of facility, using allocation report (or other) provided by CSR/Vault Supervisor
• Physically distribute individual precious metals to conform to customer requests and/or exchange warrants (This will require heavy lifting)
• Hands-on coordination working directly with Global Services supervisory and ops staff
• Ensure that all forms and packages are handled appropriately
• Assist with projects as necessary and performs other related duties as assigned
• Provide security by adhering to the General Security regulations
• Perform other duties as required
• Work between BGS Precious Metal Vault locations as business dictates

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
• 21 years of age
• Minimum 6 months of experience working in a warehouse/distribution or vault operation
• A current & valid driver’s license
• Satisfy all applicable Department of Transportation requirements
• A valid weapons permit or ability to pass applicable weapons licensing requirements
• A valid guard card or ability to obtain a guard card or any other required licenses
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and be able to do so on a regular basis throughout the required shift
• Must have flexibility in working a wide range of hours.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Good basic math skills
• Proficient in MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel
• Previous operational experience, while working in a fast paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi task in a detail driven environment
• Ability to switch from physical demanding tasks to administrative tasks without losing focus and attention to detail.
